Whereas, Charles “Charlie” James Kirk, born October 14, 1993, was a courageous American patriot and Christian brother, whose life was tragically cut short in an act of political violence on September 10, 2025 at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah; and

Whereas, Charlie Kirk, at 18 years old, founded Turning Point USA in 2012, a student movement with the mission to “identify, educate, train, and organize students to promote the principles of fiscal responsibility, free markets and limited government”; and

Whereas, throughout his short life, Charlie Kirk demonstrated fearless devotion to his faith in God, exemplary leadership, integrity, and service, positively impacting countless individuals through his witness, work and advocacy; and

Whereas, Charlie Kirk’s passion for spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ, his model for civic engagement – inviting all comers, especially those who disagreed with him – and the betterment of society by promoting family formation based on principles outlined in the Holy Bible leaves a lasting legacy that will continue to motivate future generations; and

Whereas, the loss of Charlie Kirk is deeply felt by his family, friends, colleagues, and all those whose lives he touched; now

Therefore Be It Resolved that the Williamson County Republican Party Executive Committee remembers and celebrates the life of Charlie Kirk, recognizing his tireless service and devotion, countless contributions and the profound impact he made on our country and the world; and

Be It Further Resolved that we extend our condolences to the family and friends of Charlie Kirk during this time of extraordinary sorrow; and

Be It Further Resolved that we commit to honoring Charlie Kirk’s legacy by continuing the work he championed and upholding the timeless and sustaining values he embodied; and

Be It Further Resolved that the adopted version of this resolution be shared across all social media platforms and placed on the landing page of the Williamson County Republican Party website for a minimum of 1 year to mark a lasting tribute to Charlie Kirk’s remarkable life and enduring influence.
